Reiner Moll
Sometimes Moll is asked to do a study, like that by chipboard producer Pfleiderer, which resulted in the first four- part kitchen in 1990. The tubular steel chair Xenar (1995 for Interprofil) is an unabashed homage to the Bauhaus era.
The chaise longue Dreipunkt (2005 for Dreipunkt) on the other hand embodies a technically oriented style; it’s an all rounder with four motors that goes from a completely flat reclining surface to a full-fledged armchair. Versatile Moll, himself the prototype of an industrial designer, places an emphasis on longevity – for aesthetic, ecological and economic reasons.
